Comment Helper script

My Flickr friend Dan asked me if I could adapt the quick comment script so that comments are split between group invites, awards and ordinary comments. This is the result.

If you would prefer to use the original quick comment script, it's here

My new script, the comment helper, is here Please note that you will need Greasemonkey and the Firefox browser- see below if you haven't yet downloaded these.

More details and links

The comment helper script gives you drop down boxes to add standard comments (such as a template for a score-me style of group) or invite and award images to groups. (See below)

It also lets you add your own comments or delete comments you no longer use. Whilst looking at the Flickr page, highlight the words you want included in the comment, or leave blank if you want to write your own. Go to Tools>Greasemonkey>User script commands to access these features.

Text to be saved in a comment selected.

Accessing the add comment command in the menu. Note that comments may be edited using the edit comments command in the same place.

Picture showing the add comment screen. The type of comment (comment, invite or award) may be chosen from the drop down box. The title and text may be completed with anything, although selected text will appear in the text box for convenience.

To use this script, you will need to be using FireFox browser. You can download that here

Next, download the google toolbar here

Now you need to download the greasemonkey script for firefox here

Lastly, you're ready to download the greasemonkey script for the Comment Helper. It will install itself if you click on the link.
